SMVRR's 100th Anniversary Celebration

The Santa Maria Valley Railroad celebrated its 100th Anniversary today with a brief ceremony at the railroad and a short excursion out on the rails followed by a tri-tip BBQ and more train rides at the Bitter Creek Western Railroad (a small-scale ride-on railroad on the Nipomo Mesa). The actual 100th birthday of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad is tomorrow, July 11, 2011.
Hal Madsen shared a little of the railroad's history.
